Condeco Regus last week gave a live demonstration of their new room-booking tool that can save businesses several hours a week in the time it takes to find and arrange external meeting rooms The easy-to-use software App was given a full test run at the ITM conference in Manchester – an event that is attended by over 350 senior professionals in the travel and meetings industry.

“We’re here today launching the world’s first integrated Microsoft Outlook/Lotus Notes booking-system that enables you to overflow your internal estate to external. The solution gives you the option to outsource but maintain control with visibility.”

-Lynda Lowe, Condeco

Simone Buckley, the chief executive of the Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM), said: “Our sponsor partnerships are really important, and we have a great relationship with Regus Condeco – in fact we’ve been talking to them for a few months about their new product. They brought it to us to get input from our members, to help them develop the product and it’s exciting they’re here at the ITM conference, demonstrating the result of that input, and launching it here today. For us that’s really adding value for our members.”

In their seminar on strategic meetings management policy Simon Hunt, Global Sales Director e-Trading at Regus gave a joint presentation of the new tool with Condeco’s Sales & Marketing Director, Lynda Lowe.

“We’re here today launching the world’s first integrated Microsoft Outlook/Lotus Notes booking-system that enables you to overflow your internal estate to external. The solution gives you the option to outsource but maintain control with visibility.”

Simon gave a captivating talk to the seminar attendees about the problems when trying to manage both internal and external meetings and how they can be improved. Lynda Lowe then proceeded with a quick live demo of the Condeco Regus App, and commented: “The cost-saving element around this is that if you buy into the service you get preferential rates and won’t have the scenario where people are spending time picking up the phone and using credit cards.”

Research suggests that most people spend around 11 minutes booking external space, as well as the delays in waiting to find about availability – delegates were pleasantly surprised to see how this could be done with just a few clicks onscreen.

Also at the event was Paul Statham, Managing Director at Condeco, who enthused: “I’m delighted to be here today, and working alongside Regus on this brilliant project that we’ve just released. It will bring the external and internal estate together into one seamless solution for people’s desktops and browsers. This something I believe will change the way people view their small meeting space in the coming years. The Condeco Regus App is a state-of-the-art software solution that is put onto your company’s intranet and accessed through your web-browser, through iPads/iPhones, Outlook and Lotus; once the user finds what they want they can book it, or if they can’t they can reach out to the Regus estate and book online, seamlessly and in a controlled and managed way.”

Simon Hunt from Regus later announced that candidates will have the option to have one-to-ones at any of their Birmingham, London, Manchester, Reading, City or West End seminars that will be held in May and June.

Speaking from their London office, Pervez Gibbs, Head of Marketing, UK and North America, Condeco, added: “This exciting partnership between Condeco and Regus comes from both organisations” understanding of how to help businesses operate more efficiently. The result is a product that will save businesses of all sizes many hours a year, and enable them to use their time better. By giving them greater clarity over their meeting room use and expenses, it will also help them track and control spending better – a valuable tool when every business is seeking greater efficiency.
