UserVoice Process Documentation

If you are wondering what happens to the suggestions you make on our UserVoice page you are in the right place. Below are our guidelines that we use when assessing product initiatives.

What is the process?

  • We monitor the site for ideas that are getting traction
  • We review what’s new on an ongoing basis, and meet every two weeks
  • While we can’t respond to every idea, we are committed to reading each one

How do we further score ideas?

‘Number of votes’ is one metric in the overall scoring process. We further score upvoted ideas based on:

  • Reach – how many users will benefit across a broad set of clients
  • Overall client value
  • Alignment with our product and business objectives
  • Impact on other areas of the product
  • Technical complexity

For example, an idea that might scoring highly but takes huge effort to deliver might lose to an idea that is easy to build, even though it has not as many votes.

What does it take for an idea to get accepted?

Generally, an idea must have sufficient votes from multiple clients, fit our overall roadmap, and be in the top third of scored ideas.

What happens when an idea is accepted?

We move to idea to accepted and everyone who voted for it will be notified.
