A meeting space is where you collaborate with colleagues, for example, a meeting room, a huddle space, a board room, or a training room.
Workspace types for meeting spaces
Depending on your organization’s setup, your meeting spaces may be categorized by workspace type allowing you to specify exactly the type of space you wish to book when collaborating with colleagues. Workspace types for meeting spaces can be meeting rooms, huddle spaces, board rooms, training rooms, or any other type of space where people collaborate.
Single-use workspace types bookable for a minimum of 5 minutes, such as phone booths, may also be configured as a workspace type for meeting spaces.
Available workspace types depend on your organization’s configuration.
Group types for meeting spaces
Your meeting spaces may be either managed, blind managed, or self-managed, depending on the group they belong to.
|Managed||Meeting spaces in a Managed group require approval from a designated approver before the booking is secured. When a managed space is shown as available for a booking, a Request button is displayed. When you request the meeting space the designated approver must approve or reject the booking and an email is sent notifying you of the decision.|
|Blind managed||Meeting spaces in a Blind managed group are allocated by designated approvers and cannot be specifically selected. When making a booking, you specify the date/time, location, and attributes required and a Request button is displayed instead of a list of available meeting spaces. The request is received by a designated approver who allocates a suitable meeting space.|
|Self-managed||Meeting spaces in a Self-managed group do not require approval and can be booked immediately. When a self-managed space is shown as available for a booking, a Book button is displayed. Self-managed meeting spaces are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.|
