Meeting room software may help new managers
Meeting room software could prove useful for workers who have recently been promoted to a managerial role.
According to Tina Lamb, senior partner at the Impact Factory, it is important for new managers to communicate with other members of staff.
This is particularly the case among those who are now in charge of people they previously worked alongside.
Ms Lamb said: "Tell them what you need to be doing, how often you want to check in on them, as their boss."
This may involve regular meetings, in which case meeting room software might be a helpful tool in maintaining a professional approach.
It is easier to "get things out in the open" and have important conversations as a manager, Ms Lamb noted.
Her comments follow research from the Chartered Management Institute, which found over half of managers incorrectly judge their strengths at work.
And 68 per cent of this group revealed they had no intention to take on such a role at the start of their careers.
