Hot desking may create a more productive workforce
Flexible working and hot desking may prove beneficial to businesses, following an expert's suggestions.
Director of corporate marketing at Orange Max Taylor said flexible working can "dramatically contribute" to the UK's economy, as it creates a more productive workforce.
He explained a study by the organisation revealed 72 per cent of enterprises believe flexible working boosts company morale, which may suggest
hot desking is something firms want to consider.
Of those quizzed, 53 per cent stated they believe it boosts productivity and 58 per cent claims it improves staff retention.
"In addition, the government has recognised the importance and benefits of flexible working and has committed to removing barriers," Mr Taylor remarked.
He observed this will be done by offering the population high-speed internet access, which will mean employees will be able to work from home, or indeed anywhere that has a fast broadband connection.
Dave Miller, co-founder of Bikeworks, recently claimed part-time working and flexible hours help small companies to find "outstanding" staff.
