Could hot desk software aid flexible workplaces?

Hot desk software could prove to be a viable option for companies that want to offer a more flexible approach to their employees without being forced to do so.
According to Andrew Cave, head of policy at the Federation of Small Businesses, there are many advantages to this way of functioning.
"Something such as
flexible working is so obvious to the vast majority of businesses it's a good thing," he explained.
But if the practice were to be formalised with government legislation, it could interfere with the benefits of this approach, Mr Cave added.
His comments followed the T-Mobile Small Business Roundtable Debate, with looked at the changes currently being made among smaller businesses that want to ensure they succeed this year.
When asked whether
flexible working legislation is necessary, Mr Cave noted the dynamic of a tight-knit team could be altered by such interference.
One way for firms to show their appreciative attitude to staff may be to offer the option of
hot desking and combine this with support for flexible working.
