Car park booking software may encourage lift sharing

Businesses looking to become greener may consider
car park booking software as an incentive for employees and visitors to adopt different attitudes.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, transport minister Norman Baker said the government is aiming to encourage Britons to cut their car travel with a number of initiatives.
Sharing lifts with a colleague may be one way to do this and Condeco's
car park booking software offers priority schemes for those who travel to sites with a co-worker.
Rachel Cary, senior policy advisor for the Green Alliance, said: "Business travel is one of the main emission sources of greenhouse gases."
If firms are looking to cut their carbon footprint, encouraging lift-sharing schemes with the use of car park booking software may well be a possibility.
Ms Cary said electric vehicles may also be a good solution in the future, but the government must look at ways to provide adequate charging points for such methods of transport.
